BEST OF/ 2016

Here a short collection of my last works. 2016 was a year of discoveries, experiences, and a lot of practice.

MORNING / GOLD / MOUTH

a famous byword says: "The morning has gold in mouth!"

The first sketches of 2017. The firstone realized by "sanguigna"
a red ocher used to make crayons for drawing, much in use since the Renaissance and from the Baroque to the pleasant color and the nice smooth gradation. I really love this crayon, the touch and consistent is wonderful. You can do what you want, and the colour is soft. So feminine.

There are different kind of "sanguigna" to realize this sketch I used:
+ Pencil Sanguigna dry can nuanced being at will and must be protected with fixative. It is' particularly suitable for making portraits, shadows and shades.

+ Pencil Sanguigna Fat requires no primer and is therefore particularly suitable to dripping or extemporaneous portraits.

The Sanguigna is available both in the form of a square section rod which is formed by pressing the powder, both as a mine of wooden pencils. The hardness is higher than the graphite and the yield of light and shade is smaller than the charcoal.

You can find some pencil here:
+ Matita Sanguigna Rembrant Lyra

There are a lot of wonderful artist very good in sanguigna use, if your looking for some inspiration :)

I hope to inspire you.
Have a great day to everyone!

HOW / TO DRAW / LEGS

How to draw legs

Put a bad weather with cold and wind, a cup of tea, a warm plaid and a pencil...
Here you are! A perfect moment to do some exercises!
Until now I've been always inspired by portraits, details, eyes, etc... but I decided to go away and do practice with other body's parts like legs.

I took some helps by anatomic books, modeling, web, and photographs.
There are a lot of ways to improve your drawing here:

For this sketch I used, pencil HB | 2B | 4B, rubber, and paper smudge.

VOGUE / ZARA / PORTRAIT / FASHIONWEEK

Tell me a story
"Portraits Zara model inspiration" | Luana Berti 2016 - graphite on paper

Leafing the new Zara collection I'm completely impressed from happy portraits, great smiles, and expressive eyes.
This is the gender which I prefer. And since we are in full fashion week
I can't stop to look collections and fashion photographes.

"Psychedelic" | Luana Berti 2016 - graphite and watercolours on paper

The first detail that I look in a picture is the expression, if it tells a story or if it is just a beautiful shoot.
It must give me something. There are a lot of wonderful pictures in photography
but just a few are able to tell a story. These are only few pictures
that captured my attention while a was looking for a story. And you? What do you think about it?
